Dear Genet Thank you so much for the pictures of your mom in the cart and you holding the chicken – they made me smile. It helps so much to be able to see you both in Ethiopia and to get an idea of what the area looks like.
Your dad has been forwarding me the e-mails about all that is happening. I want you to know that I have been forwarding them on to many of my prayer partners in California and elsewhere. Always remember that many people are praying for you both.
Genet, when your mom told me that you felt that God wanted you to return to Ethiopia to be a missionary I was reminded of what Isaiah said: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
We are continuing in prayer for your mom to be healed and also thanking the Lord for His protection over you both and for the way that He is pouring His love out through you to all that you meet.
Hi Genet and Amy! I'm enjoying your blog. It is wonderful to see and here of your work in Ethiopia. I'd like to fill you in on the work you were both involved in here in Iowa. The nursing home ministry @ Hallmark in Mount Vernon is going well. The minister, Kenny is providing the residents with rich Biblical illustrations helpful for all. Anna has been doing a good job being faithful to playing piano for Margaret while she recovers from her surgery. Amy's mom is enjoying the services and is doing well. We are praying for you both during the services for your safety. May God bless your ministry there in Ethiopia as well as the ministry you were involved in here in Iowa. Beth and Anna Peters
